UGears Monowheel

The creativity and ingenuity of early 20^th century transportation prototypes can be found with the UGears Monowheel kit.  It is based on early designs that were either unmanned or that accommodated single driver-passengers.  This all-wood model reflects the intricate working designs of those proposed years ago. 

Monowheel vehicles were invented in the late 19^th century and were intended as everyday transportation.  Now with this model kit, you can bring the imaginations of inventors, engineers, and mechanics to life.   

This monowheel was inspired partly by the military model and the driver-passenger prototype. The out armor has been stripped away to allow you to observe the gears in motion. The exposed interior allows you to control the rubber band motor and replace the bands and other parts as needed.

This durable design even allows it to roll over semi-hard and hard surfaces, meaning you can enjoy this model indoors and outdoors.  

This Monowheel kit is a challenging model to assemble and is made up of 300 laser-cut wooden parts. It even includes 19 spare parts in case something gets lost or breaks.  It is important to note, you won't need any special tools or adhesive to assemble this model. Simply remove the pieces, follow the instructions, and you are ready to roll.
